If you’re on my email list, last week you would have received an email from me about the issue I was having at my job. Instead of worrying, I decided to surrender to whatever the outcome may be. Once I had surrendered, I started to get excited about the possibilities of where life might take me next. 

So I decided to ride on that excitement and manifest. I wrote two letters to the Universe.

The first letter I wrote was one of thanks to the universe for my new job. I then put the letter away somewhere safe, trusted the universe, and let it go. 

The second letter I wrote thanked the universe for winning the national lottery and put the letter in an envelope. Sealed it and placed it on my altar. 

I logged on to my National Lottery account, played a few numbers, trusted the universe, and let it go.  

I returned to work and whatever else I had going on that day, knowing the universe had my back because everything always works out in my favour. 

Fast forward to the next morning, and I open my emails and see an email from the National Lottery. It stated that I had won a prize. I log in to my account and see I’ve won a small cash prize.

I was so happy, but it was not unexpected. I knew I would win. Did I know I would win that day? No. But I knew I’d win eventually.

The experience with the lottery taught me something important: manifestation isn’t just about wanting something, it’s about how you position yourself to receive it. Let me break down what I’ve learned about how manifestation works.

Firstly, manifestation doesn’t require a date because time is an illusion. Everything is happening simultaneously. And it’s all happening now. 

Secondly, you must believe that you already have what you’re requesting; the gurus call this living with intention. You know that no matter what happens, you will receive it as long as it’s of your highest good. To do this, you must have a tool/method that you believe in. 

Thirdly, you must be in a flow state. This looks different for everyone, but the feeling is the same. You have complete peace about receiving what you have requested.

So, once I realised manifestation isn’t just about wishing, the first thing I uncovered was the importance of energy. Everything begins here.

Trust and release

When manifesting anything, you do not need to put a date on it. Allow the universe to come in with this when they want. I’ve noticed that the more fluid I am about a manifestation,  the sooner I get it. In this case, winning the lottery was on the same day.

Live with intention

Some say act as though you already have it, but it’s more like you don’t obsess over it. 

For example, every day you drive to work, and on some mornings, you have to go by the petrol station to fill your car up with petrol. Well, you’re not worrying the night before whether the petrol station is still there or whether they’ll have enough petrol because you know that in the morning the petrol station and petrol will be there, and even if that petrol station doesn’t have petrol, you know a few miles down the road there will be another one.

Well, this is how you treat your manifestation after your request. You do not worry about the when, the how, the where, the who, or the if. You know it’s coming; it doesn’t matter when because you know it’s already here the moment you’ve requested it. It’s just a matter of it being in your hand.

Carry the feeling throughout the day

Being in flow state to receive it is all about playing and NOT about grinding.

I’ve never had to grind to manifest in fact any time I’ve grinded, it repelled my manifestation. 

And so I play instead. I have fun. For instance, I turned choosing my numbers for the lottery into a game.

Whatever you’re manifesting, it has to be fun. 

So, for example, say you’re manifesting for your business to be successful, well, the way you do business has to be fun in every single area of the business, which means you have to shift your focus to the journey and process rather than the goal. Your process has to be enjoyable. You have to enjoy working on that business.  If you’re focused on only the money, then you’ll repel it. 

But energy alone isn’t enough. You can feel aligned all day long, but if you’re not clear about what you want, the Universe has nothing to respond to.

Get clear on what you want

Write your manifestations down. Get clear on what you want with a heavy focus on how you want it to make you feel and not on what you want it to look like. This allows you to experience delicious synchronicity, like you wouldn’t believe, and makes life fun. It also gives you the freedom to leave the how to the universe because that’s not your job. The brain cannot compute how. If you notice and become the observer of your brain, your brain can only compute what has already happened. It cannot see what hasn’t, that part is left to your soul.

When you weave these four pieces together: energy, clarity, aligned action, and surrender, manifestation stops being a mystery and becomes a natural rhythm. That’s how flow turns into results.

Manifestation isn’t about striving harder. It’s about softening into trust. You already have everything you need within you. The moment you allow life to carry you, you’ll see how quickly things start to align, and you’ll soon be manifesting with ease. 

So be brave, trust the universe wants what you want for yourself, too, and manifest boldly.
